Backups
Keep backups in your own Cloudflare
Save backups to your own free Cloudflare R2 storage and restore them into any server later.
Backups stored with us are removed when a server is cancelled. If you’d like to take a break and come back to the same world later, save your backups to your own Cloudflare account instead. Cloudflare R2 is free up to 10 GB.
Connect Cloudflare (once)
- In the game panel, open your Account page and find Cloudflare Backups.
- Click Open Cloudflare. The token page opens with the R2 permission already selected. Click Create token and copy the token.
- Paste it into the panel and click Connect Cloudflare.
R2 has to be turned on in your Cloudflare account. If it isn’t, Cloudflare asks you to enable it the first time; there’s no charge within the free tier. We don’t keep the token itself: only the storage keys made from it are stored, encrypted.
Save a backup there
On the server’s Backups page, click Create backup and turn on Save to my Cloudflare. These backups have a Cloudflare badge.
Restore later, even into a new server
On any of your servers’ Backups page, click Restore from my Cloudflare, pick the backup and choose Add to this server. Then use Restore on it as normal.
Deleting a backup that was added this way only removes it from the server. The file stays in your Cloudflare bucket, gghost-backups, until you delete it there.
