Create and restore backups
Make a backup before big changes, and roll back when something goes wrong.
Open Backups in the game panel. Your plan sets how many backups you can keep, and the page shows how many you’ve used.
Create a backup
Click Create backup, give it a name, and optionally list files to leave out (logs, for example). The server can keep running, but a stopped server gives the cleanest copy of a world.
Lock a backup you never want removed automatically. Scheduled backups skip locked ones.
Restore
- Click the menu on the backup and choose Restore.
- Choose whether to delete all current files first. Do this for a clean roll-back; otherwise only the files in the backup are overwritten.
- The server stops during the restore. Start it again when the restore finishes.
Download
Download gives you the backup as a .tar.gz file. The link expires after a few minutes.
